Thumbs up for the new pipe cutting machine from MicroStep

The Italian family business Officine Dabalà srl is a sought-after supplier of carpentry supplies, pipe and industrial systems. With the ProfileCut series, the company has once again invested in MicroStep technology for the 3D machining of beams and profiles.

Nico Dabala proudly announced the commissioning of his latest technology in the machine park on his social media profile on the Instagram platform in February. “The new system is ready” wrote the co-owner of the Italian metal construction company Officine Dabalà srl and added a “thumbs up” symbol. In response, a friend served him some icons with a rocket launch.

Appreciated for on-time delivery and quality products

The start of ProfileCut was welcomed by MicroStep. The pipe cutting machine is an important production aid in the diverse activities of the family company founded in 1999. The industrial construction company, located north of Venice, is the contact for carpentry work, welding groups, pipe work as well as the maintenance and installation of systems and machines. Carbon steel, stainless steel and plastics are processed and products for marine, petrochemical, oil and gas or water treatment plants are manufactured. Customers all over Italy appreciate the constant quality and adherence to deadlines of the constantly growing company.

Officine Dabalà srl chose the ProfileCut series from MicroStep. The Italian company can process round tubes or hollow profiles with the plasma cutting system.

MicroStep technology has been used successfully for more than a decade

This growth philosophy also includes ongoing investments in production opportunities. In the search for a solution for pipe cutting, the choice fell again on technology from MicroStep. The Italian metalworker has been using a plasma cutting system including a bevel rotator for the reliable cutting of tubes and profiles for more than ten years. After the positive experience over time, the decision was made again for MicroStep and the precise and process-reliable production options of the ProfileCut series. Thanks to the plasma rotator, the new investment enables the flexible processing of different geometries (pipes, hollow profiles) up to 6 meters in length - the integrated pipe cutting device automatically rotates the workpieces into the correct position. For Officine Dabalà srl the optimal solution to efficiently and cost-effectively process varied orders with a perfect fit.

The MicroStep plasma rotator has been integrated into the ProfileCut for the precise cutting of contours and the application of chamfers, for example to prepare weld seams. With this plasma cutting system, the Italian company can also process 3D geometries from 30 to 1,000 mm in diameter and up to 6,000 mm in length.
