Thumbs up for the new pipe cutting machine from MicroStep

The Italian family business Officine Dabalà srl, a sought-after supplier of steel structures, pipe systems and much more, has once again invested in MicroStep technology for 3D cutting of pipes and profiles.
Nico Dabalà proudly announced the commissioning of their latest addition to the machine pool, a new ProfileCut machine, on Instagram in February. “The new toy is ready” wrote the co-owner of the Italian metal construction company, adding a thumbs up.

Praised for timeliness and quality

The pipe cutting machine is an important production aid in the diverse activities of the family company founded in 1999. Located north of Venice, they’re the ones to talk to if you need an artistic steel construction, a high-flow pipe line or a thermohydraulic assembly. They process carbon steel, stainless steel and plastics for various industries, including marine, petrochemical, oil and gas, even water treatment plants. Customers all over Italy appreciate the constant quality and adherence to deadlines of the constantly growing company.

Officine Dabalà srl chose ProfileCut from MicroStep. The Italian company can process pipes and hollow profiles with the plasma cutting system.

Working with MicroStep for over a decade

Their growth philosophy necessarily includes ongoing investments in production capabilities. In their search for a pipe cutting solution the choice fell again on MicroStep. The Italian metalworker has been using a MicroStep plasma bevel cutting system for more than ten years. Stemming the long positive experience, the decision was made to continue the collaboration and invest in the precise and reliable ProfileCut. Thanks to its plasma rotator, the new investment, equipped with a pipe positioner for precise positioning of workpieces, enables flexible processing of different geometries up to 6 meters in length. For Officine Dabalà srl, the efficient and cost-effective solution is a perfect fit.

The MicroStep plasma rotator in ProfileCut enables precise cutting of contours and bevels weld seam preparation. With this plasma cutting system, the Italian company can process 3D geometries from 30 to 1 000 mm in diameter and up to 6 000 mm in length.
