PipeCut machines enable a wide range of pipe-based applications including trimming, cutting of various openings for multiple pipe and profile intersections or connections, weld edge preparation as well as marking.

Apart from standard solutions for automated cutting using plasma, oxyfuel, waterjet and laser, Microstep has a wide portfolio of special solutions dedicated to production of steel construction parts.

This animation shows an example of such special solution, machine PipeCut dedicated to underwater plasma cutting of large pipes (with diameter up to 700 mm).

The main advantage of plasma cutting underwater is the cleaner inner edge (less slag) of the material. Furthermore, water absorbs most of the UV rays emitted during cutting and reduces the noise and fumes.
