History
1991
- founding of MicroStep, spol. s r.o. by 10 employees of the Department of Control and Automation, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava
- initial company goal – to develop and deliver microprocessor-based control technology to various branches of industry
1992
- development and supply of the first control system for a plasma cutting machine
- custom applications based on developed control system
1993-1997
- company domain: supply of control systems for small water power plants, tool machines, self-teaching robots, control of watergate systems
- entering NC cutting machine business in a minor part of company focus
- start of a long term partnership with machinery-specialized Slovak company IQM, s.r.o.
- development of own mechanics and own complex control system for CNC cutting machines
1998 - 2010
- establishing a position on the West European market
- in 1999 founding of subsidiary MicroStep Europa GmbH dedicated for sales and service of cutting machines in Germany
- in 2007 founding of subsidiary MicroStep Photonics GmbH dedicated for development and support of MicroStep laser technology
- consequent development of sales network based on dealership in almost all European and some overseas countries
- continuous development of CNC cutting machines for laser, plasma, oxyfuel, waterjet, laser and 3D mill technologies, control systems and CAM software
2010 until now
- merger of companies MicroStep, spol. s r.o. and IQM, s.r.o. in a common company MicroStep spol. s r.o.
- company goal – to become market leader in high-end CNC cutting machines
