Live Demos and Showstoppers

Attendees had the opportunity to witness live demonstrations that showcased MicroStep's flexible solutions for cutting and processing of sheets, pipes, profiles and domes with cutting-edge 2D and 3D equipment – all developed and produced in-house at MicroStep. Notably, this year's fair presentation featured the multifunctional MG machine with 3D plasma rotator, a drilling unit and new milling and marking capabilities. The upgraded 3D waterjet cutting system, WaterCut, also piqued substantial interest. The space-efficient 2D laser, MSF Compact, equipped with DynaFly technology for rapid, high-quality cutting, was a perfect fit for demonstrating the new motion dynamics of MicroStep's anticipated next generation control system CyberFab® Control.

Among the showstoppers were a striking 1,4 meter high mild steel sample that demonstrated cutting, drilling and, first of all, milling features of the DRM Max series, and a stainless steel dished end with a 2,000 mm diameter, boasting various bevel geometries, holes, and custom contours, all expertly processed by plasma on a DRM machine.

CyberFab Manager: Automated Management of MicroStep-based Production Systems

Centered on the pivotal topics of digitalization and Industry 4.0, MicroStep also introduced CyberFab Manager, a comprehensive CAPP software suite that serves as a centralized production management tool, enabling end-to-end oversight of various processes, including cutting, bending, deburring, welding, and logistics across multiple workstations.

Conclusively, the global crowd at Schweissen & Schneiden 2023 provided a unique opportunity for professionals to engage in networking, collaboration, and knowledge exchange on a global scale. The trade audience at MicroStep booth, both German-speaking and international, benefited from intensive, technology-independent consultation in unique experience zones, ensuring a deep understanding of MicroStep's cutting-edge offerings.

The successful fair may be over now, but with the greater enthusiasm we look forward to the next one!
